“Funny you should mention (recording),” Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards said the other day, “Just last week, the word ‘studio’ popped up while we were rehearsing. I said, ‘Well, let’s find a time. I’m ready.’”
In the same interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Ronnie Wood said the band has “never been closer.“ Wood told the magazine that the Stones have become more important to Mick Jagger following the death of Jagger’s girlfriend L’Wren Scott last year.
Jagger recently said he’d like to make a new record with the group, but he’d do a solo album if the Stones don’t join him in the studio.
The Stones opened their North American “Zip Code” tour last week, and today they’re taking their show to Dallas.
It’s been almost ten years since the band released its last original album, ‘A Bigger Bang.’
